How to Prevent Potholes
The number one cause of potholes is water leaking into the subsurface of the road. Keep water out of the subsurface by seal coating the pavement. The sun turns asphalt gray due to the oxidation of oils from the asphalt, leading to loose rock in the pavement, eventually causing potholes. Sealer puts liquid back into the asphalt leaving the pavement looking rich and dark.
